Events and PR Coordinator Opportunity
ASAPP Financial Technology is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events and PR
Coordinator to join our fast-growing team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer
(CEO), this role is pivotal to executing high-impact brand experiences through events, public
relations, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
You will play a critical role in organizing industry events, managing media relations, and
enhancing ASAPP OXP®’s visibility as Canada’s most complete Omnichannel Experience
Platform—and soon, through the launch of bank.io OXPTM, our footprint in the US market.
Your Role
● Plan, coordinate, and execute ASAPP OXP’s presence at industry tradeshows
and conferences in both Canada and the United States.
● Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of ASAPP’s semi-annual Partner
Forums, including logistics, communications, and onsite coordination.
● Manage ASAPP OXP’s public relations efforts, including drafting and distributing
press releases related to product updates, strategic partnerships, and client wins.
● Build and maintain relationships with media, analysts, event organizers, and
influencers in the fintech and credit union ecosystems.
● Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to develop
compelling event themes, speaking engagements, and brand experiences.
● Coordinate post-event follow-ups, analytics, and debrief reports to track ROI and
inform future strategies.
● Support the Marketing team in executing targeted promotional campaigns to
drive event registrations and boost brand visibility.
● Represent ASAPP OXP’s values and brand identity through all external-facing
initiatives and communications.
● Provide occasional weekend and after-hours support for key marketing
initiatives, including Partner Forums, tradeshows, and public relations efforts.
● Support after-hours media or social coverage when necessary for timely
communications or high-sensitivity announcements.
Success Criteria
Critical
● 2+ years of experience coordinating B2B or corporate events, preferably within
financial services or technology industries
● Exceptional project management and organizational skills
● Proven experience in public/media relations and stakeholder engagement
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and event planning software
Valuable
● Experience with PR tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms
● Knowledge of Canadian credit unions, financial institutions, or SaaS marketing
● Background working alongside sales and product teams to align messaging and
goals
● Familiarity with tools like Eventbrite, Cvent, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or social
media platforms
● Experience coordinating hybrid or virtual events is an asset

Additional Details
● Full-time / Permanent role
● Based in our Toronto office, with up to 3 days/week in-office attendance (currently
5 days/month but increasing)
● Some travel required (<10%) for industry events and ASAPP OXP Forum
participation
