Sales and Marketing Manager

We are seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to collaborate with the executive team and lead the Sales and Marketing group. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, increasing brand and product awareness, and achieving ambitious sales targets. It is a hands-on leadership position that involves both management and direct contribution to sales enablement and marketing initiatives across the Canadian and US markets.

Role

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets, manage sales teams, and drive lead generation.
  • Create and execute marketing plans to generate leads, build brand awareness, and support sales efforts.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead generation, conversion rates, and client acquisition costs.
  • Optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Manage and act as a hands-on expert on the team’s customer relationship management system (currently Pipedrive).
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Client Success leaders, and other team members to align and optimize the client journey.
  • Plan and manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and ROI achievement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and channel partners.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to inform strategy development.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing content, including website content, social posts, case studies, and marketing collateral.
  • Provide sales team members with the tools, training, and resources needed to effectively sell the platform.
  • Manage a team including Account Executives, Marketing, and Sales Support staff.

Success Criteria

Critical

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, including team management and sales strategy development.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social marketing, lead generation, content creation, product marketing, and marketing automation.
  • Advanced capability to analyze data, identify trends, and optimize marketing and sales strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep experience with and passion for hands-on use and training of Pipedrive CRM.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage budgets, and drive performance to key objectives.
  • Familiarity with SaaS B2B business models, sales challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ability to become fully proficient in the platform within 90 days to effectively communicate its value proposition.
  • Maintain proper travel documentation for North American client visits and conferences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
