Bookkeeper – Full-Time, Permanent

📍 Location: Markham & Steeles (In-Office)

🕓 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM

💰 Compensation: $56,000 – $62,000 per year

With multiple operating entities and a fast-paced, hands-on environment, this is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper looking to join a stable and growing organization within the entertainment and live event industry.

The Role

The Bookkeeper will oversee day-to-day accounting across multiple companies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all financial activities. This position is fully in-office and offers strong growth potential for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative team setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and post transactions in journals and the general ledger
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare supporting documentation for financial statements
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare HST filings, T4s, and corporate/personal tax returns
  • Handle payroll preparation and processing for staff and contractors
  • Coordinate inter-company transactions and reconciliations
  • Track equipment rental revenue, capital assets, and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with project cost reporting and event profitability tracking
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to align financial data with event activities
  • Manage incoming calls and perform general administrative duties as required

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of professional bookkeeping experience
  • Experience in the AV, Rental, or Live Event Production industry (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel (required)
  • Strong understanding of A/R, A/P, and payroll processes
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple entities and handle high transaction volumes
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or an Accounting designation (preferred)
  • A positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work on-site, in-office Monday to Friday
