Title: Account Manager – Construction Insurance
Location: Woodbridge, ON (In Office)
About the Role:
We are seeking a client focused and detail oriented Account Manager with experience in the construction industry. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of pre existing commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are handled efficiently and with exceptional service. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Underwriters, and Insurers to deliver tailored coverage solutions that help clients protect their businesses and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow relationships with an assigned portfolio of construction and commercial clients
- Handle all client servicing needs including policy renewals, endorsements, certificates, and inquiries
- Review and analyze existing policies to ensure adequate coverage and identify potential gaps or improvements
- Work closely with Underwriters and Account Executives to negotiate renewals and new business terms
- Manage certificates of insurance, contract requirements, and bonding needs for construction clients
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, renewal summaries, and insurance documentation in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry regulations
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for cross selling and client retention initiatives
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in the agency management system
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance, ideally within the construction sector
- RIBO license required (active and in good standing)
- CAIB, CIP, or other industry designations considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of commercial property, liability, auto, and bonding products
- Excellent client service and relationship management skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in insurance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
